Yep, the title says it all!
U.S. President Barack Obama injured his lip while playing basketball on Thanksgiving with his personal aide Reggie Love and other members of his family.
Obama was struck by a player’s elbow (for some reason it doesn’t seem to be Love) to his lip (Thank God it wasn’t somewhere else) and had to take 12 (yes, 12) stitches while given a local anaesthetic. Obama was seen holding an ice pack on his lip later on (poor thing).
Why did Obama receive 12 stitches?
“The medical unit that treated Obama used a smaller filament than typically used, which increases the number of stitches but makes a tighter stitch and results in a smaller scar,” said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.
Nice way for the President to spend his Thanksgiving I guess.
